At 5PM each day guests gather in the beautifully furnished living room where International wines and hors d’oeuvres prepared by Kolleen are served. Wonderful people stay at the Federal House Inn and many new friends are made here. When you return in the evening, fresh baked goodies, coffee and hot tea await you.

Candlelight Breakfast
You will be served a delicious three course candlelight breakfast which includes fresh juice, coffee (grown in India and prepared by a local producer), a fresh fruit course and a gourmet hot entrée.

The Federal House Inn is a wonderful place to relax while enjoying the sophistication of the historical atmosphere. It was built in 1824 by Thomas O. Hurlbut who built this gracious brick beauty with gorgeous wood floors and large windows that invite you to admire the scenery of the surrounding lawns. Located in the heart of the Berkshires, The Federal House Inn also has a handsome living room and a special breakfast room where you can peacefully enjoy your morning meal. All rooms are lavishly decorated with beautiful antiques that only add to the old colonial manor feel. Meet the Innkeepers

After 35 rewarding years in education, both in the United States and in four countries overseas, Kolleen and Brian Weinrich are thrilled to be running an established and successful inn. They provide the warm hospitality and welcoming experience guests have come to expect when staying at the Federal House. They bring to the inn their diverse backgrounds and exposure to a variety of countries and cultures.
